Wendy Baxter

 

Wendy Baxter is an educator, artist and activist. A Canadian raised on the West Coast, the prairies and in Quebec, she now works at the University of California at Santa Cruz. She teaches a variety of courses and workshops including "Art and Social Justice," "Social Justice Issues," "Teaching Social Justice" and the "Leadership Institute." She has contributed materials to the Islands Institute's foundation course on Building Better Communities: II602. Wendy also teaches and coordinates programs in privilege and oppression and intercultural communication. She acts as advisor for an annual student-led conference on "Practical Activism."
