Pnina Granirer

Vancouver artist Pnina Granirer http://www.pninagranirer.com twenty years ago discovered an affinity for the shores of the Gulf Islands, and created several series exploring the physical and mystical shapes of the rocks, with allusions to classical sculpture.

Her series on the Millstone Quarry captures the mysterious beauty of what was once an industrial site.

A Gabriola rock is featured on the cover of her biography, ''Pnina Granirer; Portrait of an Artist'' by Ted Lindberg, published by Ronsdale Press.
